Dual WAN Connection

The RS-1200 offer 2 of WAN interface for load balancing and redundancy. Reducing the risk of a potentially catastrophic shutdown if one of the connections should fail. In addition to maintaining a reliable connection, RS-1200 features out-bound load balancing that can increase your upstream bandwidth when connecting to 2 different ISP services.

DMZ port support

DMZ port is a specific hardware port that lets outside user from internet access your servers without exposing your network to attack. Therefore, you can put your server group on the DMZ port and put your PC network on the regular LAN port. This setup protects your local network from the traffic to the server group. Best of all, users can choose to use NAT or Transparent modes for the DMZ port.

System administrators can establish and enforce acceptable Internet access policies. Content filtering enables the blocking of certain websites either by IP or by domain name. Administrators can also define schedule for each content filtering rules. But best of all, you can also choose to block javascript, active-X, POP-UP, or Cookies. Up to 300 content filtering rules can be made.

Messenger and Skype Blocking

One of the biggest headache for system administrators is to block messenger and Skype traffic. Because these application use dynamic ports that are hard to block, it is usually difficult to block those particular applications. With the RS-1200, it can block MSN messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, QQ messenger, Skype, Google Talk, and gadu-gadu traffic with a click of a button.

Advance Security Functions

The gateway can be either configured in transparent mode as a gateway or enable the NAT router function. It has many security features built-in such as SPI, SYN, ICMP, DoS, UDP, Ping of Death and Port Scan. The traffic log can be sent automatically by email or by Syslog function. The gateway even features Accounting Report function that display individual IP/service’s usage in time or Kilobytes. Therefore, administrator can charge account by time or traffic used.

The RS-1200 is a product that combines the most important and useful security features in one package. It allows you to take complete control over your network. Contact your authorized AirLive dealer for details

my office

I’m trying to link my excella stx with the network with asp.net application to read IDs and Checks images and data and send it to asp.net shifting from my old applicaiton using vb.net windows applicaiton to web based application and I had some problem -excella stx could not open port- while googling I found that guys doing same as my project for project in the university I was happy to see people with the same interest and also facing same problem of mine .

Recently when we were giving the final demo to our mentor, we faced an issue with the new MICR machine. We had assumed that this machine will always work on COM port 3 and hence we hard-coded the COM port value to be 3 in our code. While giving demo on one of the machine, MICR would not work because the machine’s COM port 3 was used by some other device and the MICR was using COM port 4. In this scenario our application did not work. So our mentor suggested us a minor change. He asked us to add a dropdown list in the configuration panel to select the COM port.

I just bought one from Eureka 1TB storage around 128 KD

It’s good but transferring files from the hard disk to the computer through the network I have some issues plus the files will be stored maximum with 1GB each file so if you record long movie with 13 GB total it will be around 13 files and still I don’t know how to merge them! I’m still trying to solve these issues . actually I bought it to convert my old VHS to digital files .

update1:

I found that merlin is using OpenSource linux with busybox [link] . I found this by telnet to the IP address of the device . If I find more I will write it down .

TomTom, the maker of personal and in-car navigation devices that just won a bidding war ($4.2 billion, 2.9 billion euros) with competitor Garmin for digital mapping provider TeleAtlas, has announced a partnership with Google. Google Maps will now give users the option to send maps or business listings to TomTom devices. Google (and Yahoo) already offer “send to car” for BMW and Mercedes cars. MapQuest has a similar deal with GM’s On Star telematics system.

Here’s a video demonstration of how it works:

According to Google, the system should be live now in the US, Europe, Middle East and African markets. But we’ve looked, and a “Send To GPS” option still doesn’t seem to be live despite appearing in the TomTom video. The screenshots below show how the “Send” link for a map item still only has an email option:

Personal navigation devices represent an interesting mobile alternative to cellphones for users to access content on the go. They are becoming much more than simply ways to get maps and directions. For example, the new Dash Express positions itself as an “open content platform” for third party developers. And Dash has content deals with Yahoo and Zillow, among others.

Consumers currently pay monthly fees for these devices. There is no advertising on them but they will eventually become ad and mobile commerce vehicles. Indeed, expect search and search advertising to eventually make their way onto these devices and into cars accordingly.

iphone

I just bought the new ipod touch 32GB and I have list of files mp3s that I’m collecting and archiving with my own db . so I want to search to them through my pc and listen to them through my ipod . so I’m making VB.Net 2008 code to do that for me.

First Step

I need to search in my database and check the file description this is easy for developers (programmers)

Second Step

When I select the mp3 from the list and play it . It will connect to my ipod touch and check for me if the file exist in my ipod or not.

Sln : I will connect to my ipod touch and copy the itunes database which is located “/iTunes_Control/iTunes/iTunesDB” and download it to my pc so I can search where is the file is located easily . In this case I read to project the main is manzana which my project based on it , The second project iphonebrowser which I read it to see the example how I can use the functions in manzana .

Third Step

I will need to read the iTunesDB file which I copied on my pc and extract the information from it .

Sln : So I used on of the project called ipodmediaextractor I used “System.IPod.dll” library so it can extract the data from iTunesDB (its easy) .

Fourth Step

I will need to search in the list I extract it previously from ipodmediaextractor and if the files is there I will use again iphonebrowser functions to get my mp3 and TADA finish .

Finally

you can download my source code from here [link]

PS: I faced some problems when first I used the iphonebrowser

It didn’t work for me. Downloaded n installed the program but when I open the program , a message pop up saying “An error has occurred during load. Error text: AMDeviceNotificationSubscribe failed with error -402653180. The program will now exit, sorry. Please report this online.”

Answer

Make sure you have iTunes installed properly, with the latest (or close to latest version).

e-go to go

I was trying to send sms through hsdpa usb modem using vb.net because I wan to use my ZAIN e-go to go device.

I found this article from codeproject article link [here]

And I also found that some one is trying the same [link]

Re: hyperterminal
well, ive been working on this project for awhile now. im trying to create a program to interact with a hsdpa usb modem to send and recieve sms text messages (it uses a sim card). ive been succesfull in sending sms’s, checking the state of the modem, and getting the phone book using the gsmcomm library but it isnt working for getting the modems inbox messages. so i thought id just try ussing AT commands to get to the inbox but that isnt working either. i wanted to use the hyperterminal to send AT commands to see if its even supported. i assume it has to be, as the software that came from the modem can do it, so why cant it? this project has been super frustrating and if anyone could help id really appreciate it
thanks
jason

I am using Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition. I use Access for my data base

by using the gsmcomm library it was working fine with me but i changed the sim card and put Ezee sim with removing the pin code request and it was working great sending and receiving using my ego to go modem. so know I can make two-way messaging with my own application and server.

The file source code I upgrade it to .Net 2008 you can get it here [link]
